Nederman MikroPul: Stability and Continuity in Changing Times

How Dantherm Filtration, DISA Filter and Garant became Nederman MikroPul

Across many industries it has been common for independent businesses to merge, split and re-organize. It's hard for consumers or industrial partners to know if the brand they see today is the original, a successor to the original, a derivative, an outgrowth or a start-up that draws on old brands that the former owner no longer used after merging.

The field of industrial air filtration and gas treatment has seen its own mergers and new players and the landscape continues to shift. The choice of suppliers to core industries such as steel, aluminum, asphalt, chemicals and foundry, is increasingly global. This is because the customer base is increasingly global.

When you look at an established brand like Nederman MikroPul, it has undergone similar changes of ownership as other industries, yet it important to see past the changes and focus on the things that matter.

During more than 100 years, the MikroPul brand has been a leader in filtration (see time chart), with key contributions to improved air pollution levels as well as improved equipment longevity and reduced energy footprint. In the European market, Nederman MikroPul is the market-leading evolution of a solid industry partner. When Garant Werke was founded in 1966 it was relatively quickly merged to form BMD-Garant, then absorbed into DISA. Later the whole was merged into Dantherm Filtration and then merged into Nederman. Now Nederman has these products and services under the MikroPul brand. This may seem like continual change over 50+ years, yet there are core stable factors that make Nederman MikroPul a leader.

The first advantage of being part of the Nederman Group is the continued contribution from well-regarded and qualified engineers and scientists from all the past brands. With many of our team working for over 40 years across several ownership groups, we have supplied continuity to our customers and consistent support. Our customers know that they will get service and parts that work for their filters, regardless of any previous brand name on the nameplate. Next, our products have continued to supply outstanding quality and performance while developing new features in the digital world. Lastly, being part of the global Nederman team gives us unequaled reach to serve both local manufacturers and global companies.

When you look at the nameplate on your equipment, please remember that we are the same organization with the same values, even though names have changed.
