Wet Scrubbers - Five Standard Models

"MikroPul has developed over the years many different standard models, but we can always come up with something different than our standard" - Jay Shah, VP Sales - Scrubbers

MikroPul has developed over the years many different standard models, but we can always come up with something different than our standard.

The MikroVane is a basic scrubber design, it is most compact and has been used for many de-dusting applications and many others with particle size 5 micron or larger. So MikroVane is a pretty easy scrubber, it operates around 3 to 6 in. pressure drop and liquid to gas ratio is about 2 to 4.

The second scrubber is the Dynamic Scrubber that is our most compact scrubber design because it utilizes an integral wet fan. So in other words your footprint for the total system, so scrubber, ductwork, blower, and stack becomes very very compact.

Third one is the Venturi Scrubber, you probably all know and have seen one in your plant. This scrubber is also known as a traditional Venturi Scrubber, so traditional Venturi Scrubbers use open pipe liquid inlet. So this is the only scrubber that does not use a spray nozzle so your maintenance goes down as well as it allows a high percentage solid in the recycled loop when we consider that up front for the performance.

Fourth one is the Multi-Venturi, that's actually an extension of the Venturi Scrubber, it's the same concept. The difference is the layout, instead of a cyclonic separator that is vertical, we use a horizontal separator for the liquid droplets by using two stages of mist eliminators.

The last one is a Packed Tower, so the first four are particulate scrubbers, and this last one is for gaseous pollutants. So gaseous pollutants like hydrogen sulfide or hydrogen chloride or hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen cyanide, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, those pollutants that are soluble in water If they are miscible in water or insoluble in water packed tower will not work.
