Magnesium master alloy preparation
Magnesium master alloy preparation
Automatic preparation of the additives for ladle, adjusting composition in case of grey iron, and magnesium treatment by sandwich or tundish cover system in case of ductile iron.
LADLE ADDITIVES – ADVANCED AUTOMATIC METALLURGICAL PRESCRIPTION
Euro-Equip advanced solutions for automated dosing and charging of materials, designed to ensure metallurgical precision, operational safety and complete traceability in every stage of the process.
The Euro-Equip Ladle Additives system enables the automatic prescription of the quantities of ferroalloys to be added into the ladle, according to the composition of the melting furnace, the pouring furnace and the final material to be produced.
The prescription takes into account all the critical variables of the metallurgical process, such as the content of the materials, their yield, the interactions between elements (for example, the combination of sulphur and magnesium), among other decisive factors for the final quality of the casting.
Key benefits
- Automatic prescription based on real metallurgical parameters.
- Maximum dosing accuracy, with systems using one or several scales.
- Adaptation to different casting types, grey (lamellar) or spheroidal.
- Comprehensive consideration of critical variables: content, yield and chemical interactions.
- Improved quality and repeatability of the final product.
- Full process traceability through historical data recording.
The system ensures maximum precision through the use of one or several independent scales for the different components, adapting to the type of casting. The additives can be discharged in a single step, in the case of grey (lamellar) iron casting, or in two separate steps for spheroidal graphite iron processes.
All process information is recorded and stored, providing complete traceability and facilitating quality control and continuous improvement.
